Hi there.

I’m Tara Ruff, a public relations specialist and Emmy-award-winning journalist with over a decade of experience helping people share their stories. My career has taken me from the fast-paced world of TV and film to the heart of journalism and brand storytelling, where I’ve seen firsthand how a meaningful story can inspire change when told with authenticity and heart.

For me, this work is deeply personal. I know what it’s like to pour your soul into something you believe in. Throughout my career, one truth has guided me: storytelling isn’t just about words, it’s about human connection. That belief became my compass and led me to create Purpose Public Relations. Purpose was born out of a simple but profound belief: that every individual has something unique to offer the world. That’s why empathy is at the core of everything we do. We don’t just see your vision, we believe in it, bringing it to life with passion and conviction.

FROM THE DIGITAL MARKETING LEAD

Hello, world!

My name is Mahek Tulsiani, and I’m a digital communications specialist with a decade of experience in driving results, pioneering new platforms and telling my clients' stories. I’ve worked with clients in the advocacy, arts and wellness spaces to advance their unique goals - and I’m excited to do the same for you.

One of my first professional experiences was at Northlight Theatre, a nonprofit theatre organization in the Chicagoland area. Back then, Instagram had yet to be acquired by Facebook (now Meta), and I realized that many comparable arts organizations had yet to take advantage of the opportunities this platform had to offer. I developed a plan, brought it to my supervisor and implemented its launch, well before several of their peers started posting on the platform. And over a decade later, that account is still operating today!

Now, that decision seems obvious. But at the time, it wasn’t. Throughout my career, I’ve established a track record of identifying and implementing the steps that allow my clients to take advantage of a rapidly shifting digital communications landscape. There are opportunities amid the challenges, and I’m looking forward to finding them together.
